PERCEPTION

"You two are crazy".
"How do you mean"?
"What do you mean how do I mean"? "I saw what just happened".
"You are entitled to your opinion, however perhaps we saw it differently".

That was a fictitious conversation, BUT a conversation none the less. Can we talk about the word crazy for a second? That was a rhetorical question. Crazy can be defined as, "Insane; mentally unbalanced. 2 Excessively emotional or disturbed as with rage. 3 Impractical and/or illogical". Well let me tell you something, unless you are clinically certified, I would refrain from using that word. It is far too subjective a word to throw around all willy nilly. So and so is ugly, so and so is dumb, or fat. These all happen to be adjectives for a reason. They are simply words we like to use to put somebody in a box to tickle our own fancy. And that's fine.... IF you keep it to yourself. Once you pronounce it and put it out into the world, you have now put a label on someone that they may or may not deserve. It is subjugation without hard evidence, that are accompanied by repercussions.

Now, that being said, I don't really give a fuck what you think about me or anyone else. Like I said you are entitled to your own opinion. If you think I'm crazy then you should sit and have a conversation with me and I bet I change your mind. I live in the margin, a place that is hard for people to comprehend. People are taught to write within the margins of a page. I prefer to scribble all over the page. I walk the line. So when you judge my actions, don't judge them at face value, stop and think about what I may or may not have done that lead you to label me as crazy. The box you are thinking in, I live right outside of. So we are neighbors in a sense. I CHOOSE not to call people fat, ugly, dumb, etc. Those are ugly words, and so is crazy. But I digress, if you feel strong enough in your conviction to call me crazy... all I can say is, I aint mad atchya.
